Adds an explicit local time axis to long-running ChatGPT conversations. GPT Timekeeper adds explicit local timestamps to ChatGPT conversations so long-running chats have a clear time axis. ChatGPT can often remember what was discussed, but it may not reliably know when each message was sent, especially when a conversation continues across hours, days, or weeks. GPT Timekeeper solves this by adding a readable local timestamp to the messages you send. Key features: - Automatically add a local timestamp before each ChatGPT message you send. - Manually insert a timestamp into the message box when needed. - Avoid duplicate timestamps when a message already contains one. - Show lightweight timestamp badges beside timestamped conversation turns. - Export the currently loaded conversation timeline to a local text file. - Export all loaded messages or choose a specific time range. - Keep untimestamped messages inside a selected time range when they appear between timestamped turns. GPT Timekeeper is local-first. It does not use a server, does not send your ChatGPT messages anywhere, and does not collect analytics. Basic tracking data is stored only in your browser through Chrome extension storage. Message text is read only when you choose to export a timeline file. This extension is useful for research, journaling, project planning, coaching, long-running support conversations, and any ChatGPT workflow where “when we said this” matters.
