Description
Detect the Wunderkind Web Tag and see Event Snippets fire in real time to validate your Wunderkind on-site integration. Wunderkind Event Helper is a free Chrome extension for verifying and debugging your Wunderkind integration. It detects the Wunderkind Web Tag on any page, lists every Web SDK event as it fires, and flags the ones that need attention — so you can confirm your implementation is sending the right data without digging through console logs. Key features Automatic tag detection. See whether the Wunderkind Web Tag is present and the Web SDK initialized. Live event monitoring. Standard events — logIn, item, viewItem, selectItem, addToCart, emptyCart, viewCategory, viewSearch — and custom events appear in real time as you browse. Custom events monitoring. Identify custom events you have created and implemented on site to ensure they fire correctly. Filter by status. All, Error, or Warning — jump straight to what needs attention. One click into Wunderkind. Open any event in the Events Dashboard to see how it lands on our side. Credentials to the Wunderkind platform required. No code changes required. Nothing to add to the site, no debug flags to toggle. How to use it 1. Add Wunderkind Event Helper to Chrome. 2. Open any page where the Wunderkind Web Tag is deployed — production or staging. 3. Click the extension icon to open the panel and confirm the tag was detected. 4. Browse the site — view a product, add to cart, run a search — and watch each event appear. 5. Fix anything flagged, reload, and confirm it comes through clean. Why use it An integration that looks correct in code can still send data that doesn't work downstream — incorrect data types, an image URL missing values, an item ID that doesn't match your product feed. None of it is visible on the page, and all of it is expensive later. Event Helper makes the integration visible, in a few clicks instead of a console-log investigation. FAQs What is it used for? Verifying that the Wunderkind Web Tag and Web SDK are installed correctly, and seeing every event your site sends along with anything flagged as an error or warning. Do I need a Wunderkind account? No. The extension shows activity in your own browser. An account is only needed to view events in the Events Dashboard. Does it work on staging? Yes — any page where the Wunderkind Web Tag is present. Will it affect my site or real user data? No. It only observes your own browser session; it doesn't modify the page or send events. Why don't I see any events? The panel lists events sent through the Wunderkind Web SDK. If your site sends events another way, or nothing has fired on this page yet, the panel is empty — browse the site and they'll appear. Is it free? Yes. What data does it collect? It reads Wunderkind Web Tag and event activity on the pages you open while it's active and displays it locally in the panel.
