Two subtitle languages on Netflix, on screen at once — free, no limits, and tuned exactly how you like it. Whether you're learning a language or watching with someone who reads a different one, both lines show together, each timed to the video. Pick a primary and a secondary; the second even defaults to what's actually being spoken. That's the start. Here's the rest: LEARN, DON'T JUST WATCH Missed a line? Jump back a line at a time — no more 10-second skips. Loop a phrase, auto-pause at the end of each line, or hide one language and reveal it only after you've listened. Save your favourite practice setups and switch between them with a tap. STUDY THE GRAMMAR YOU CARE ABOUT Search any word or pattern across the whole episode and jump straight to it — it even finds fused Korean endings. Keep a watchlist of the patterns you're learning and they light up, each in its own colour, right in the subtitles as you watch. MAKE IT YOURS Per-language colours, sizes and fonts (a dyslexia-friendly one included), plus outline, background and a window box — big and bold, or small and tucked out of the way. Subtitles even follow Netflix's own positioning, moving to the top when a line belongs there. TAKE THE WORDS WITH YOU Click or drag to copy a word or phrase. Read the whole episode as a transcript. Export one language as .srt, a merged file, or a dual-language .ass that keeps each language's exact timing. KEEP READING FROM ANY TAB Pop the subtitles out into a small always-on-top mini player — both languages stay in view while you browse other tabs or apps, with play/pause, line-replay and episode buttons right in the window. It can even open by itself when you leave the Netflix tab (optional, Spotify-style) and, experimentally, show the video picture too. Plus: playback speed up to 4×, A–B loop pins drawn right on Netflix's progress bar, a pop-out transcript beside the video, settings backup, a one-tap off switch, and the whole interface in 32 languages. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • Free, with no limits — every feature, every title, as much as you like. No ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no sponsored content. • Real subtitles, not machine translation — both languages are Netflix's own professional subtitles, so the text and timing are accurate. • Private by design — runs entirely on your device. No login, no servers, no tracking; settings stay in your browser. ABOUT TRANSLATION Both languages are Netflix's own professional subtitles for that title — not machine translation, which is fast but often inaccurate or subtly wrong, the opposite of what you want when learning. The honest trade-off: you can only pair languages Netflix actually offers for a given title. If there's enough interest, a higher-quality translation option may come later — done properly, not bolted on cheaply. PRIVACY Runs locally and collects nothing automatically — no analytics, tracking, or ads. A small counter of how many days you've used it stays on your device (to time a one-time feedback prompt) and is never sent. The only data that ever leaves your device is what you type into the optional feedback form, or the short optional feedback page shown if you uninstall — both via Web3Forms, and only when you press send. FROM THE DEVELOPER I built this because I wanted it myself: two subtitle languages on Netflix, in a clean, simple interface that stays out of the way. Hence the name on the little red button — N², "N squared": Netflix × 2 languages. It's a one-person project, made and maintained in my spare time — and made with care: the core features are covered by automated tests (including end-to-end tests in a real browser) so updates don't quietly break things.
