Check document readiness locally, then recover hard-to-read PDFs, scans and photos for $9. Run a real local preflight before deciding whether a difficult document needs cloud recovery. The extension checks supported format, size, file signature and basic structure locally. For images, it also reports dimensions and broad contrast signals that may indicate OCR difficulty. No page URL, filename, file bytes or image pixels are transmitted or stored during preflight. No Chrome permissions are requested. $9 per document. No subscription. Pay only after the website accepts your file. Up to 200 pages and 200 MB. After you explicitly continue, the DocUnlocked website can return: - readable extracted text; - a plain-language summary; - source notes, review flags and checks; - five core files plus additional text, HTML and DOCX formats; - CSV/XLSX table outputs when tables are detected. Supported inputs: - PDF; - JPG/JPEG; - PNG; - WEBP. The local preflight reads only the selected bytes needed for these checks on your device. The data is discarded when the popup closes. The document is selected again on the website only if you choose to continue. Cloud processing begins only after you continue and upload on the website. Results vary for handwriting, damaged scans and complex layouts. Review the output before relying on it for important decisions. The extension has no Chrome permissions, host permissions, content scripts, background worker or Chrome storage.
