Description
An extension that highlights advertisements in text, image, and video form. Ad Highlighter reveals banners, sponsored links, and some videos. This tool makes it possible to immediately recognize where live websites place ads around webpages. This extension is a bit rudimentary, as it only checks the property values of a page's HTML tags for matches within a very limited set of strings. The typical ad blocker checks against classes, scripts, and some other specific properties against a vastly larger variety of potentially matching values instead. Hence, there are a decent number of false positives and negatives.
