Save per-tab or global volume preferences. How It Works SoundSphere watches for tabs that are playing audio and gives you a focused control panel from the extension popup. From the popup, you can: adjust the current tab's volume choose an EQ preset fine-tune all 10 EQ bands switch between Default, Voice, and Bass modes view and focus tabs that are currently making sound open settings for badge and persistence options On Chrome, SoundSphere uses Manifest V3 tab audio capture and an offscreen audio engine. This keeps advanced processing stable without requiring a visible helper tab. If a site or protected playback path blocks advanced processing, SoundSphere falls back to basic volume control where possible. Permissions Explained SoundSphere requests only the permissions needed for browser audio control. activeTab: lets SoundSphere work with the tab you explicitly choose by opening the popup. tabCapture: captures the active tab's audio so volume boost and EQ can be applied locally. offscreen: keeps the audio processor running reliably under Manifest V3. scripting: injects the local fallback controller only after user interaction when needed. tabs: detects audible tabs and shows their title and favicon in the popup. storage: saves your settings, EQ choices, and volume preferences. SoundSphere 1.3 for Chrome does not request broad host permissions. Privacy SoundSphere processes audio locally in your browser.
