A 5x6 board strategy game with a self-improving local MCTS opponent. No network calls -- the agent learns entirely in your browser. Surge is a original 5×6 strategy board game with an AI opponent that learns and improves through real reinforcement learning — not scripted difficulty tiers. HOW TO PLAY Move your pieces forward to reach the opponent's back row, or eliminate all their pieces. Standard moves go one square forward, straight or diagonal. Diagonal moves can capture enemy pieces. THE SURGE MECHANIC Each player gets exactly 3 Surge tokens for the entire game. Spend one to jump two squares straight forward, skipping whatever is in between. Land on an enemy to capture them. But the piece that Surged is Exposed until your next turn — any adjacent enemy can take it for free from any direction. Use it wisely. GAME MODES - Single player vs AI — Easy, Medium, or Hard - Local 2-player hotseat on the same device THE AI The opponent runs live Monte Carlo Tree Search entirely inside your browser. No servers, no network calls, nothing phoning home. The agent builds a personal strategy table stored locally in your browser and gets stronger the more you play it. PRIVACY Zero network calls.
