Copy the current page as a clean link — rich text, Markdown, plain text or just the URL. Copy links in the format you need, without formatting them by hand. Smart Link turns the current page’s title and URL into a ready-to-paste link for documents, emails, notes, and messages. FOUR COPY FORMATS • Rich text — paste the page title as a clickable link in supported apps. • Markdown — copy a [Title](URL) link for notes, documentation, and development tools. • Plain text — copy the title and URL together. • URL only — copy just the address. LESS REPETITIVE WORK • Copy automatically when you open Smart Link, or switch to manual copying. • Remove common tracking parameters and trim site-name suffixes from titles. • Reuse recently copied links without reopening their pages. • Clear recent links and undo the action while the popup remains open. • Preview your default copy format in Settings. • Open Smart Link with Alt+Shift+L, or customize the shortcut in Chrome. PRIVACY Smart Link reads the current page’s title and URL when you invoke it. It stores up to 10 recently copied links locally on your device. Preferences may sync through your Chrome profile. Smart Link does not send copied links to developer-operated servers, use analytics, or require an account. Automatic copying replaces your clipboard when the popup opens. You can turn it off in Settings. Works on regular HTTP and HTTPS webpages. Rich-text appearance depends on the app where you paste. What’s new in 1.1.0 • Improved popup loading and recovery when settings or tab details are unavailable. • Refreshed Settings with clearer selections and live format previews. • Added Undo for clearing recent links. • Improved save feedback and error messages. • Added monochrome toolbar icons for detected light and dark preferences.
