Description
Removes YouTube pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll video ads plus on-page ad units. AdPrune removes YouTube video ads before the player ever schedules them. Most blockers wait for an ad break to start, then click skip or seek past it. AdPrune removes the ad metadata from YouTube's player response before the player reads it, so the ad break is never created. There is nothing to skip. What it does * Pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads** are removed at the source. * On-page ad units** - promoted shelves, banners, in-feed ad cards - are hidden. * Anti-adblock dialogs** are dismissed. * A fallback watchdog** catches anything that slips past the main filter. * Every feature is a toggle in the popup, and the whole add-on is one switch away from off. Privacy AdPrune collects nothing. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no telemetry. Your settings and blocked-ad counters are stored in local extension storage and never leave your device. No code is fetched or executed at runtime. It requests two permissions - `storage` - `declarativeNetRequest` To access to youtube.com, youtube-nocookie.com and googlevideo.com. Free and open source under the MIT licence.
