Text a receipt to the customer from the Lightspeed sale screen. Requires a Spinboard account. Spinboard Text Receipt adds a Text Receipt button to the Lightspeed Retail (R-Series) sale screens, so a shop can send a customer their receipt as a text message instead of an email or a printout. HOW IT WORKS After a sale is completed, a Text Receipt tile appears alongside Print Receipt and Email Receipt. It opens the receipt screen, where a Text Receipt button sits beside Gift Receipt showing the customer's mobile number. One press sends the receipt as an image, and a confirmation appears at the top of the screen. Any earlier sale can be opened and sent again — useful when a customer says the text never arrived. WHAT YOU NEED A Spinboard account with texting set up, and a terminal key generated in Spinboard under Settings, Register Terminals. Without a key the button will tell you the terminal is not set up. The extension does nothing on its own. Each register gets its own key, so a lost or replaced machine can be turned off without affecting the others. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. It runs only on the Lightspeed sale screens and sends nothing to anyone except the Spinboard API.
