The new speed flashes on screen so you get confirmation even with the popup closed. They stay out of your way while you're typing: press < in a search or comment box and it just types the character, as it should. ▬▬▬ HANDS-FREE AUTO-SCROLL ▬▬▬ Turn on Auto-Scroll and Shorts Turbo advances to the next Short as soon as the current one finishes playing through. No thumb required — good for catching up on a feed while your hands are busy. Toggle it off any time and scrolling goes straight back to normal. It's off by default, so nothing changes until you ask for it. ▬▬▬ HONEST ABOUT ITSELF ▬▬▬ The popup tells you whether the extension is genuinely working on the page you're looking at — not merely that you happen to be on a Short. If something isn't running, it says so and tells you what to do, instead of showing a confident "2x" while nothing happens. ▬▬▬ PRIVACY: IT COLLECTS NOTHING ▬▬▬ No analytics. No tracking. No accounts. No servers. No network requests of any kind. The only thing Shorts Turbo stores is your three settings — whether speed control is on, your chosen speed, and whether auto-scroll is on — kept in your own browser by Chrome.
