ReadBooster is an open-source, local-first browser extension that turns long AI conversations into structured documents that are easier to read, navigate, highlight, print, and revisit. It does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking. Open a conversation on ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, or Claude and select Optimize Reading. ReadBooster creates a separate reading workspace from the conversation content already available on the page without rewriting or modifying the original chat. WHAT READBOOSTER OFFERS Reading and navigation - Continuous Document view for reading the full conversation - Focus view for concentrating on one response at a time - Structured outline with section and heading navigation - Collapsible user prompts that preserve context without unnecessary clutter - Custom section titles saved locally - Comfortable, fast-reading, and dyslexia-friendly presets - Adjustable text size, line spacing, appearance, and content width - Light, dark, and system appearance modes Highlights and notes - Highlight important passages directly in the Reader - Choose from several accessible highlight styles - Revisit saved passages through the highlights overview - Move between previous and next highlights - Recolour or remove highlights - Add local Stickers to conversation sections - Use directional indicators to locate Stickers outside the current view PRINT STUDIO Version 0.7.3 introduces Print Studio, a dedicated workspace for preparing AI conversations as printable documents. Print Studio lets you: - include or exclude prompts, responses, individual sections, Stickers, highlights, and images - reorder sections for the printed document - insert manual page breaks - choose A4 or Letter page size - use portrait or landscape orientation - adjust margins, font size, line spacing, and content width - print through Chrome or save the result as PDF Print Studio works locally and does not modify the original conversation, Reader state, highlights, Stickers, or custom titles. STRUCTURED CONTENT ReadBooster improves the presentation of: - headings, paragraphs, lists, and blockquotes - tables with Fit, Wide, Fullscreen, and Compact modes - code blocks with syntax highlighting and one-click copying - images, charts, and wide content - AI-generated document blocks and editable responses Additional tools include document-level copying, conversation refresh for newly loaded responses, and a responsive Optimize Reading control for narrow or crowded chat layouts. PRIVACY Conversation content is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to ReadBooster servers. Reading preferences, custom section titles, Stickers, highlights, and document settings are stored locally in the browser so they can remain available when you return to a conversation.
