Description
Send and receive files with nearby devices directly from your browser using animated optical codes. LocalSend transfers files and text between nearby screens using animated, fountain-coded QR frames. The transfer travels through the sending screen and the receiving device's camera, so no shared Wi-Fi network, account, pairing process, cloud upload, or native companion application is required. To send from your computer, choose a file or text in the extension. On the other device, open decimen.app, select Receive, and point its camera at the animated code. To send from your phone, open decimen.app, select Send, and choose the content. In the extension, select Receive and scan the phone's screen with your computer camera. Features and benefits: - Send files up to 64 MB and text snippets up to 4 MB. - Works offline after the extension has been installed. - Fountain coding tolerates missed, duplicated, blurred, and out-of-order frames. - Preserves the filename and media type. - Verifies reconstructed files before saving them. - Requests camera access only when you explicitly start the receiver. - Includes adjustable transfer and camera settings for different screens and cameras. - Contains no advertising, analytics, accounts, tracking, or telemetry.
