Hand off playback between music.youtube.com and the YouTube Music app on your phone. Music Handoff lets you move music playback between music.youtube.com on your computer and the YouTube Music app on your phone — in one click. FEATURES • Pair once. The phone treats your browser like a Cast device. • Push current playback from browser to phone, instantly. • Pull what's playing on the phone back to the browser tab. • Volume control for the browser tab, persisted across reloads. • Configurable device name (the label your phone sees in the cast picker). • Connect from YT Music or YouTube on your phone — playback streams through the YT Music website tab. • Jam together — a shared queue friends can join and add to, playing in sync. HOW IT WORKS On first run, the extension generates a short pairing code. In the YT Music or YouTube app on your phone, open Settings → "Watch on TV" → "Link with TV code" and type the code — either app works. Playback runs on the music.youtube.com tab, so only music tracks play. PRIVACY Music Handoff stores pairing tokens locally on your machine and talks directly to YouTube's own casting endpoints. Nothing is sent to any third-party server. The extension is open about issues — report bugs at github.com/EH127/music-handoff-feedback.
