Repaint any HTML5 video as a live grid of binary digits — Matrix-style, in real time, at 60 FPS. BitFrame turns any HTML5 video into a live field of binary digits. Instead of showing pixels, it samples every block of the frame and prints a 0 or a 1 in its place — dark blocks become 0, bright blocks become 1 — so the motion, composition and colour of the original video survive while every pixel is replaced by a character. The result is a Matrix-style readout of whatever you are watching, rendered in real time at 60 FPS. FEATURES • Six colour themes — Matrix Green, White, Original Pixel Colour, Rainbow, Heat Map and Cyberpunk • Seven character sets — binary, hexadecimal, ASCII ramp, Braille, emoji, block shades, or any custom set you type • Eight effects — Matrix Rain, Binary Wave, Audio Reactive, Depth Illusion, Neon Glow, CRT, Scanlines and Pixel Fade • AI Auto Mode picks the theme and effects to match the scene • Full control over sampling resolution, character size, weight, threshold, contrast, brightness floor, opacity, glow and frame rate • Export what you see as PNG, animated GIF or WebM video • Live FPS readout and automatic performance scaling • Player controls stay visible through the overlay while you hover the video • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Shift+B to toggle, Ctrl+Shift+Y to cycle themes, Ctrl+Mouse Wheel to resize the characters PRIVACY BitFrame makes no network requests whatsoever. No analytics, no telemetry, no remote code. Video frames are processed on your machine and discarded on the next frame — nothing is ever uploaded or stored. The only data saved is your own settings, synced through your Chrome profile. WORKS WITH YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, embedded players and local video files. DRM-protected services such as Netflix and Prime Video cannot be processed — the browser blocks reading protected frames, and no extension can work around that. BitFrame is and ight to you.
