Sends tab hostname, title and a short excerpt to the Worculator desktop app so it can it can show what you actually worked on. Worculator — Activity Helper connects your browser to the Worculator desktop app on your computer. It helps you stay focused during work sessions and gives you an honest post-session breakdown of whether your browsing matched what you planned to do. HOW IT WORKS • When you switch tabs, the extension sends activity info to the Worculator desktop app running on your machine (localhost only). • Data sent: website hostname (e.g. react.dev), page title, and a short page excerpt (up to 240 characters). • Full URLs, paths, and query strings are never sent. • Nothing is sent to the internet by this extension — only to 127.0.0.1 on your computer. FEATURES • Real-time activity feed in the desktop app (e.g. "Chrome · react.dev — On task") • Gentle drift alerts if you stay on off-task sites during an active session • Popup status indicator: green when the desktop app is connected, red when it is not REQUIREMENTS • Worculator desktop app must be installed and running on the same computer • No account pairing or setup codes — install the extension and open the desktop app PRIVACY • All browser data stays on your machine via localhost • The desktop app uses title and excerpt only once at session end for alignment evaluation • This extension does not collect or store data in any cloud service Install the desktop app first, then add this extension for the full AI Companion experience.
