QExtract: Turn Documents Into Reviewable Study Sets Your question papers never leave your device. QExtract does all its work inside your browser, on your computer — there is no server to upload to, and it keeps working with your internet disconnected. QExtract helps teachers, tutors, students, and parents turn existing papers and study material into editable practice sets in the browser. Import a document or web page, review the extracted items, correct anything that needs human judgment, and then use the result for practice, classroom worksheets, student evaluation, or sharing with teaching tools. WHAT IT DOES - Extract questions from source material Detect item text, options, answer keys, common numbering styles, scanned labels, multi-column layouts, and mixed formats. Handles US-style answer choices (A B C D, and the F G H J K sets used by many state tests) as well as board-exam papers with sections and per-question marks. - Review before using Preview every extracted item, edit text, adjust options, set correct answers, remove low-quality results, and attach or remove question images. - Run practice sessions Launch an interactive player directly from the reviewed set. - Evaluate responses locally Upload an answer key and a student response file to score objective answers and review descriptive answers in the browser. - Create teaching material Generate printable worksheets, answer sheets, flashcards, and downloadable classroom packages from reviewed content. - Share with classroom workflows Prepare reviewed content for forms, learning platforms, study decks, offline worksheets, and archive bundles. - Keep files private Parsing and generation run locally in your browser. Your documents are never uploaded, and the extension requests no standing access to any website. WHAT IS NEW IN v1.8.0 - US answer choices now work. Papers that label choices as plain letters — A B C D, or the F G H J K sets used by many state tests — previously came through with no answer choices at all. They now extract correctly. - Words no longer run together. Text that arrived as "Usingintegrationfind the area" now reads "Using integration find the area". Maths and science papers were affected most, and this was the single biggest quality improvement in this release. - Absolute-value signs no longer break a question. A question containing |x + 1| used to be split into several fragments. - Board-exam papers keep their structure. Sections A to E, marks per question, and "attempt either 21A or 21B" alternatives are recognised. The separate version printed for visually impaired candidates is now kept as its own question instead of being merged into the one above it. - Bigger, cleaner extraction. On a 174-page maths question bank the extractor now finds about a third more questions than v1.7, and flags fewer of them for review. - Every release is now checked against a set of real exam papers, not just sample files, so an improvement for one paper style cannot quietly break another. Clean typed files usually work best. Scanned files can require extra review. Handwriting and papers whose text is stored incorrectly inside the PDF remain difficult.
