Time-synced lyrics in a floating, always-on-top window. Sing along without covering the video. Karaoke PiP puts time-synced lyrics in a small floating window that stays on top of everything else — a separate browser window, not an overlay. Move it to a second monitor, keep it in the corner while you work, or leave it beside the video. The video stays fully visible. Lyrics scroll automatically and stay locked to playback. The line currently being sung is highlighted; the rest sit dimmed above and below it. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a music video and hover over the player. 2. Click the microphone button in the player controls. 3. The lyrics window opens and starts following along. You can also click the toolbar button to open it. FEATURES - Always-on-top floating window, resizable and movable anywhere on screen - Automatic line-by-line highlighting synced to playback - Manual timing adjustment (−/+) for videos with long intros or offset audio - Your timing adjustment is remembered between sessions - Keyboard controls inside the lyrics window: Space to play/pause, arrow keys to skip - Automatic track detection — lyrics reload when the video changes - Dark, minimal interface designed to sit quietly in the corner - Works on youtube.com and music.youtube.com WHERE LYRICS COME FROM Lyrics are fetched from LRCLIB (lrclib.net), a free, community-maintained lyrics database. No lyrics are stored inside this extension. Coverage depends on what the community has contributed, so some tracks — especially live recordings, remixes, and very new or very obscure releases — may have no synced lyrics available. When a track has no match, the window says so. REQUIREMENTS Chrome or Brave 116 or newer. The floating window uses the Document Picture-in-Picture API, which is not available in older versions. PRIVACY No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no ads. The only data that leaves your browser is the video title and channel name, sent to lrclib.net to look up matching lyrics. Nothing is sent anywhere else. Results are cached locally until you close your browser so the same track isn't looked up repeatedly. NOT AFFILIATED This extension is an independent project.
