AIBlock is a free Chrome extension that adds lightweight browser guardrails for healthier AI habits. Use AI without letting shortcuts take over your browsing: • Search Protection hides supported Google AI Overview and AI Mode surfaces, returns AI Mode searches to standard Google results, and keeps ordinary search results available. • AI Pause adds a short pause before common AI tools, encouraging hints, steps, source-checking, and writing in your own words. • AI Site Warning provides a calm reminder to verify facts and sources, avoid private information, and keep important work in your own words. • Google AI Cleanup keeps the existing Gemini cleanup and adds separate controls for selected AI entry points and verified recommendation or upgrade surfaces in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive. Each product can be turned on or off independently. Privacy-first by design: • No account required. • No prompt or document-content reading. • No page content or browsing history is transmitted or retained. • No analytics or tracking. • Settings stay in Chrome.
