Expand private text shortcuts in any editable field with QuickType for Chrome and Edge. QuickType expands your private text shortcuts into full phrases while you type — in inputs, textareas, and contenteditable fields. How it works 1. Open the toolbar popup and add a shortcut (for example /thanks) plus the expanded text. 2. On any webpage, type the shortcut and press Space or Enter. 3. QuickType replaces the shortcut with your saved text. Privacy-first Snippets are saved with chrome.storage.local on this device only. No account. No analytics. No sync server. No remote data collection. Password and hidden fields are ignored.
