Add a deliberate pause between an impulse and a website. Disrupt your addictions is not easy. Blocking the website is the way, but not only by just blocking but also by making you feel a bit ashamed and uncomfortable for even trying to use them. What would your partner say if he/she found out? Your mother? What about yourself? Can't you keep a promise? Did you really paid to unblock a website? If you feel bad about that, then this might help you. You are not alone. Sometimes learning requires a hard lesson. Quitting addictions too. As a parent that stops smoking when a child is born, maybe you can stop opening those websites that don't bring you real joy. Block your addiction is privacy first. Every website you block stays at your device. We don't store that and you don't even have to log in. Your data, your device. We don't need to know anything about what websites you are blocking. Block you addiction allows you to totally block a website in your chrome browser. Or just sometimes, when you are working, or you should be doing home chores. If you try, you will face a shaming message. If that's not enough for you, you can put financial frictions. Seeing yourself actually paying to break your own rule is a hard bullet. Try the method that works best for you!
