Lets Routine Scout recognize the form controls you use in the current tab. Tapquence Browser Helper helps Routine Scout understand the browser tasks you demonstrate. Instead of relying only on screen positions, the Browser Helper gives Tapquence useful context about the form fields, buttons, selections and completion messages you interact with. This makes it easier to turn repeated browser work into a reliable, editable Macro. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Tapquence for Mac and the Tapquence Browser Helper. 2. Start a Routine Scout session from the Tapquence app. 3. Perform the browser task you want to automate a few times. 4. Tapquence identifies repeated actions and changing values. 5. Review and edit the suggested Macro before running it. Nothing is executed automatically. You remain in control and decide which suggestions become Macros. WHAT THE BROWSER HELPER CAN RECOGNIZE • Form fields and text entry • Buttons, links and form submissions • Dropdown menus and selectable options • Checkboxes and other common page controls • Visible completion and confirmation states • Repeated rows, records and list-based workflows • Changing values that may become dynamic list or table input • Switching between supported browser tabs during a Routine Scout session This is particularly useful for tasks such as: • Entering multiple records into an online form • Processing a list of names, URLs or reference numbers • Repeating the same workflow for multiple customers or products • Transferring rows from a spreadsheet into a browser application • Working through tables where several fields change per row • Recognizing when a browser task has completed successfully BUILT FOR ROUTINE SCOUT The extension works together with Routine Scout in Tapquence for Mac. Routine Scout watches the task you choose to demonstrate, looks for a repeated structure and prepares up to three possible routines for you to review. The Browser Helper improves this process by identifying the meaning of browser controls. A field or button can therefore be recognized by its role and page context rather than only by the position where you clicked. After a routine has been found, you can: • Review the proposed steps • Choose the best routine when several patterns were detected • Edit fields, actions and timing • Add list, CSV or table input • Test the Macro before using it • Reject suggestions that are not useful PRIVACY AND CONTROL Tapquence Browser Helper is designed to operate only when it is needed. • Browser observation is enabled only during a Routine Scout session that you explicitly start in Tapquence. • The helper follows the active supported web tab while that session is running. • Information is passed directly to the Tapquence desktop app through Chrome’s native messaging connection. • Password fields and fields marked as current or new passwords are excluded. • Tapquence does not display captured field values in Routine Scout’s floating status window. • A detected routine is never run automatically. You review it first. • The extension contains no advertising functionality. WHY THE EXTENSION NEEDS WEBSITE ACCESS To recognize a workflow, the Browser Helper must be able to identify the controls used on the web pages where you demonstrate a routine. Website access allows it to recognize supported fields, buttons, selections and visible completion states during an active Routine Scout session. The extension stays inactive outside these sessions. COMPATIBILITY Tapquence supports many standard websites and web applications. Some highly customized interfaces, protected browser pages, embedded cross-origin content, canvas-based controls or websites that actively prevent automation may offer limited support. Tapquence is built to help people automate repetitive computer work without requiring them to write code.
