Pin essential pages, customize browser entries, and keep a protected Chrome window ready when regular tabs are closed. Tabstead gives essential pages a steady place at the left of your Chrome tab strip and returns to a chosen pinned entry when regular tabs are gone. You can: - open a page, click the extension, and save and pin it without copying its URL; - unpin the current page without closing it, or use one configurable pin/unpin shortcut; - keep a website live so its session and running state remain available; - create a stable personal entry page with a custom name and icon; - drag to reorder entries and choose a default return; - keep a protected window available with a minimal guard page when no entry is configured; - pause automatic recovery and fixed-page maintenance while existing pins stay in place; and - switch the Popup, setup, and settings interfaces between English and Simplified Chinese. Real website tabs keep their own favicon. Chrome does not allow a regular extension to arbitrarily replace website tab icons; use a Personal Entry Page when you need a fully personalized icon and open its website on demand. Tabstead is privacy first: - no account or cloud service; - no advertising, analytics, or telemetry; - no page-content reading; - no cookie access; and - uploaded icons are processed in the browser and are not uploaded. To provide these features, Tabstead stores the names and URLs of entries you choose in Chrome extension storage on your device. This information is not transmitted to the developer or third parties.
