No switching tabs. No logging in. No complicated setup after the first run. Just select text, right-click, and get instant answers — whether you want to check grammar, summarize, explain, or run a custom AI command of your choice. It works with any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, meaning you can bring your own API key from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, or any other service that supports the same API format. That makes Quick LLM LLM-agnostic — your AI, your rules. ⚡ Why Quick LLM? Imagine you’re reading an article, an email, or a research paper. You spot a confusing paragraph, or maybe you just want a quick summary, or you notice a sentence you’d like polished. Normally, you’d have to: Copy the text Open ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI chat page Paste it in Type your prompt Wait for a response With Quick LLM, you skip all of that. Just highlight → right-click → pick a command → done. Your result appears instantly in a small, sleek black popup at the bottom-right of your screen — without breaking your reading or working flow. 💡 What You Can Do with Quick LLM Quick LLM comes with three predefined commands plus a fully customizable one. 1. Check Grammar ✔ Instantly correct typos, fix grammar mistakes, and polish awkward sentences. ✔ Great for professional emails, academic writing, or any text you want to make shine. 2. Summarize ✔ Condense long articles, research papers, or reports into a few key points. ✔ Perfect for quickly catching the essence of content without reading everything. 3. Explain ✔ Break down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand language. ✔ Helpful for learning, teaching, or quickly clarifying technical jargon. 4. Custom Command ✔ Define your own AI action — translate text, rewrite for SEO, change tone, generate bullet points, or anything your chosen AI model can do. ✔ You’re in control: edit, save, and reuse your favorite custom prompt. 🌍 LLM-Agnostic by Design Quick LLM doesn’t lock you into one provider. If the API follows the OpenAI-compatible standard, it works. That means you can connect: Google (Gemini) OpenRouter (models like Claude, LLaMA, and more) OpenAI (ChatGPT models like GPT-4, GPT-4o, etc.) And many more! 💡 Tip: You can get free API keys for both Google and OpenRouter: For Google, visit Google AI Studio, log in, and follow the steps to create a free API key. For OpenRouter, create a free account at openrouter.ai and start using their free models immediately. You choose the model name, endpoint, and API key — we simply send your request and display the response. 🛠 First-Time Setup — Quick & Powerful When you install Quick LLM, you’ll do a one-time setup where you: Select your AI provider from popular options or enter your own custom endpoint. Paste your API key (from your chosen provider). Pick your default AI model (changeable anytime). This takes less than a minute — and the best part is, you have total control over which model and service you use. 🔒 Your API Key Stays Local — 100% Private Your API key is stored only in your browser, never uploaded to any external server. That means we never see, store, or log your credentials. The trade-off? If you use Quick LLM on multiple devices, you’ll need to configure your settings again on each one — which actually adds an extra layer of security. 🖤 100% Open Source Quick LLM is completely open source, meaning: You can inspect the code to verify security and privacy claims. Developers can contribute improvements or add features. Anyone can self-host their own modified version. Transparency and community-driven development are at the core of this project. 🚀 Benefits at a Glance ⚡ Instant AI — No more tab switching or context loss. 🖱 Two-click workflow — Highlight → right-click → get results. 🎯 Predefined & custom prompts — Tailor AI commands to your needs. 🌍 Works anywhere — Any text on any site, in any language. 🔑 BYO API key — Full control over costs, provider, and models. 🖤 Minimal UI — Clean black popup with white text that never gets in your way. 💸 100% Free & Open Source — No sign-up, no accounts, no hidden limits. 🔒 Local API key storage — Your credentials never leave your device. 📌 Example Use Cases Students — Summarize academic papers or simplify technical content.
