FAQ Why does Chrome show "Save All Tabs as PDF started debugging this browser"? Chrome's built-in print-to-PDF engine is only accessible to extensions through the debugger API. The extension attaches it to one tab at a time, only while that tab is being printed, and releases it immediately after. No script is injected, no page data is read, and no data is sent anywhere. Which tabs are skipped? chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, and tabs that already show a PDF file cannot be printed by Chrome and are skipped automatically. Sleeping tabs are woken up before printing. Where do the files go? Straight into your Downloads folder, with no dialog per file.
