GitHub Time Tracker

Description

Track time spent on GitHub issues GitHub Time Tracker v1.0.2 GitHub Time Tracker is a lightweight browser extension that seamlessly integrates time tracking into your GitHub workflow. With a Start/Stop Timer button on every GitHub Issue page and a new calendar view in v1.0.2, you can effortlessly measure and visualize time spent on tasks — all without leaving GitHub. 🚀 Key Features 🔘 Start/Stop Timer ButtonEach GitHub Issue features a custom timer button. Start tracking with a single click and stop with another. A live counter updates in real-time, showing exactly how long you’ve spent on a task. 📅 Calendar View (New in v1.0.2)Visualize your tracked time with an intuitive calendar. Browse tasks by selecting any day, with the current day (e.g., May 14, 2025) always clickable — even without prior data. Search within a day’s tasks and see total time spent (e.g., Total time for 14.05.2025: 08:42:51). The calendar uses English days and months (Sun, Mon, May 2025) with a Russian date format for clarity. 📋 Time History & SummaryAccess detailed time logs via the browser popup. The Summary and History views now focus on today’s tasks (e.g., May 14, 2025), with search by task title or URL. View up to 10 recent entries in History, sorted by date, or aggregated time in Summary for quick insights. 🔁 Seamless Task SwitchingSwitch tasks without worry — starting a new timer automatically stops the previous one, saving your progress. No time overlaps, no lost data. 🔐 GitHub Token IntegrationOptionally provide a GitHub Classic Personal Access Token to automatically post time spent as comments on issues. Keep your team informed with transparent work records. 🧠 Smart PersistenceTime logs and tracking state are stored locally using Chrome’s storage API, persisting across browser restarts. If the browser closes during tracking, the timer stops gracefully, and your progress is saved. 🧩 Why Choose GitHub Time Tracker? ✅ Native GitHub Integration: Works directly within GitHub, no context switching ✅ No External Dependencies: No accounts or third-party APIs required ✅ Offline Capability: Fully functional offline with local storage ✅ Privacy-Conscious: No analytics or data sharing ✅ Lightweight & Instant: Install and start tracking in seconds 📦 Who Is This For?
