Highlight a word on any page — or in YouTube subtitles — see an instant DeepL translation and add it to your Wortschatz vocabulary. Wortschatz (German for "vocabulary" — literally "word treasure") turns the words you stumble over while browsing into a personal vocabulary deck. HOW IT WORKS • Highlight a word or phrase in French, German, Spanish, Italian or English on any page. A small popup recognizes the verbs (shown as infinitives) and nouns (with their article and gender) in your selection and translates each with DeepL. Tap + to save one to your vocabulary. • Conjugated forms are recognized offline with bundled morphology dictionaries (Lexique for French, UniMorph for German and Spanish) — "mangé" is offered as both the infinitive "manger" and the past participle "mangé". • The sentence you found the word in is saved as context, and each word lands in your spaced-repetition review deck on the Wortschatz website. • On YouTube, turn on subtitles and a selectable copy of the captions appears under the video — click it to pause/resume, highlight a word to save it. It keeps the last few lines so a word that just scrolled past is still there. • Export your full vocabulary as CSV any time — your words stay yours and import straight into Anki or a spreadsheet.
