AuditFocus: WCAG Accessibility Audits

Description

One-click WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility audits. Find issues, get AI fix suggestions, export timestamped PDF reports. Your client asks whether their site passes accessibility. Your legal team asks whether you have evidence. The DOJ Title II deadline already passed for public-sector sites and the ADA plaintiff's bar is still averaging more than 4,000 federal filings a year against private sites. AuditFocus gives you a defensible answer in about ten seconds. Click the toolbar icon on any page, public or behind a login. AuditFocus runs a full WCAG 2.1 AA scan in the browser using axe-core, groups the violations by severity, explains each issue in plain English, and lets you export a timestamped PDF or Markdown report you can hand to a client, a developer, or a lawyer. Pro adds on-device AI that suggests concrete code-level fixes and generates alt text for flagged images. Agency adds CSV export for Jira and Linear imports, branded PDF covers with your logo, and a white-label mode for reseller workflows. Everything runs locally. No scans leave your machine. No account. No telemetry. SCAN ANY PAGE, INCLUDING AUTHENTICATED PAGES Online accessibility checkers work fine on public URLs and fail the moment you hit a login wall. AuditFocus runs inside your logged-in browser session, so it audits staging environments, admin consoles, checkout flows, and any page a lawsuit or procurement review actually cares about. Click the toolbar icon, open the side panel, hit Scan this page, and the results appear in about a second. WHAT THE SCAN COVERS AuditFocus bundles axe-core 4.10, the same engine used by Deque, Microsoft Accessibility Insights, and Lighthouse. It checks more than 90 rules covering the full WCAG 2.1 A and AA rule sets: color contrast, form labels, ARIA correctness, keyboard focus order, image alt text, heading structure, landmark regions, and dozens more. Each violation shows the WCAG criterion, the element selector, the HTML snippet, and a plain-English description of why it fails. FREE TIER Full WCAG 2.1 A and AA scan of the active tab Violations grouped by Critical, Serious, Moderate, and Minor severity Per-issue WCAG criterion, element selector, HTML snippet, and rule description 5 scans per day (UTC reset) Side panel UI with issue filtering and toggle-to-expand details PRO ($49 one-time, no subscription) Unlimited scans AI fix suggestions for every violation, powered by Chrome's on-device Gemini Nano. No cloud calls, no API keys, no data leaving your device. AI alt-text generator for image-alt violations. The extension sends the image and surrounding context to the on-device model and proposes an accessible caption you can copy directly into your HTML. PDF report export with a cover page, timestamp, scanned URL, violation summary table, and all issue detail Markdown report export for developers and git-based documentation Scan history stored locally in IndexedDB, up to 100 scans Project tagging so you can group scans by client or site AGENCY ($149 one-time) Everything in Pro CSV export one row per violation node, RFC 4180 compliant with UTF-8 BOM. Drops straight into Jira, Linear, GitHub Issues, or any spreadsheet. Branded PDF cover with your company name, logo, and accent color. Logos up to 500KB are stored locally. White-label mode that hides the AuditFocus branding from reports while preserving the axe-core attribution required by its MPL 2.0 license. One-time purchases. No subscription. No auto-renewal. Pay once, own forever. BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY SHIP THE FIX Free tools like WAVE, Lighthouse, and the axe browser extension all scan well. They are also all engineer-facing, dump raw JSON or terse rule IDs, and produce nothing you can give to a client. AuditFocus wraps the same axe-core engine with the layer that buyers actually pay for: readable reports, AI-assisted remediation, audit evidence, and branded export for agencies. Agency devs and project managers use AuditFocus to prove to a client that the issues were found and show what needs to be fixed. In-house developers use it for pre-launch QA. Compliance officers use it to produce a timestamped paper trail of scheduled audits. Freelancers add accessibility audits as a $500 to $1,500 upsell and export the report with their own branding. ON-DEVICE AI, NO KEYS, NO BACKEND AuditFocus Pro and Agency use Chrome's built-in Prompt API and Gemini Nano model, which runs entirely on your machine. You do not need an OpenAI key, an Anthropic key, or any cloud subscription. Your scanned pages, element snippets, and generated fixes never touch a server. Gemini Nano requires Chrome 138 or later on a supported device. If the API is not available, free-tier scanning still works fully and Pro shows a link to the axe-core documentation as a fallback. PRIVACY FIRST AuditFocus does not run any servers and does not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage metrics. Every scan runs locally in your browser using injected axe-core Scan history and project tags are stored only in your local Chrome profile No data is sold, shared, or transmitted to third parties The only network request the extension makes is to ExtensionPay for license validation of Pro and Agency purchases Full privacy policy: https://auditfocus.app/privacy ATTRIBUTION AuditFocus is powered by axe-core, the open-source accessibility testing engine by Deque Systems, licensed under MPL 2.0. Attribution is preserved in every report, including in white-label mode. FROM LOOPHEAD LABS AuditFocus is built and maintained by Loophead Labs, a small independent studio making fast, focused tools for people who ship on the web. Questions, feature requests, or bugs?
