Add local and online subtitle files to web videos with per-video sync and styling. WebSubtitle is a Chrome extension that lets you add and adjust subtitles on videos across the web. Open a subtitle file from your device or search OpenSubtitles, then attach it to the video you want. Adjust subtitle timing and appearance, or edit supported subtitles in the web editor and apply the changes back to the video. When supported by Chrome and the selected language pair, you can translate an existing subtitle track on your device and add the result as a new track. Translation starts only when you explicitly request it, and the original subtitles remain unchanged. WebSubtitle works with accessible HTML5 videos. Videos embedded from another site may require you to explicitly grant access to that site. Compatibility may be limited with DRM-protected content, restricted iframes, proprietary video players, or custom fullscreen implementations. On-device translation availability depends on your Chrome version, device, browser settings, and selected language pair. Machine translation may be inaccurate, so review the result before using it.
