In my three decades of studying marine life, I have found that this species stands out due to its dense, rounded bell and its lack of long, thin tentacles. The bell's surface often has a distinctively warty or nodular texture, giving it a firm and robust appearance compared to its more delicate relatives. Blubber Jellyfish are often found in large swarms and are considered powerful swimmers, using their muscular bells to propel themselves efficiently. Their oral arms, which hang in a cluster, are used to filter plankton and other small organisms from the water. This jellyfish is a testament to the incredible variety of forms that have evolved within the class Scyphozoa, each perfectly adapted to its role in the marine ecosystem.
