Description
Export Jira Cloud issues to clean Markdown. Open source, no telemetry, uses your existing Jira session. Jira Markdown Exporter turns any Jira Cloud issue into clean, portable Markdown — with one click. While viewing an issue, click the toolbar icon (or the "Copy Markdown" button added to the issue) and instantly copy or download the whole ticket as Markdown: title, type, status, assignee, labels, custom fields, description, comments, and attachments. It is the open, transparent alternative to closed-source exporters: MIT-licensed, no telemetry, no analytics, and no API token to paste. Everything runs locally in your browser using the Jira session you are already logged in with. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Copy an issue to your clipboard as Markdown - Download it as {ISSUE}.md - Download the Markdown plus every attachment into a tidy {ISSUE}/ folder - Choose what to include (comments, custom fields, attachments) — your choice is remembered - Export from the toolbar popup or a button built into the issue view - Works in the board and backlog detail panel, not just full-page issues FAITHFUL FORMATTING Converts Atlassian Document Format (ADF) to Markdown with support for headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, links, nested bullet and numbered lists, code blocks, tables, panels, task and decision lists, mentions, emoji, dates, status lozenges, and inline images. PRIVACY FIRST - No data is ever sent to any third-party server - No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking - No API tokens or passwords — it uses your existing Jira browser session - Fully open source and unminified — inspect every line HOW IT AUTHENTICATES The extension reads issue data directly from Jira's own REST API using the session you are already logged in with. Requests only ever go to your own Jira instance, and nothing is stored remotely. Built for Jira Cloud. Open source under the MIT license.
