When you paste sensitive data — emails, API keys, credit cards, customer records — into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and more, Kavara detects it in your browser and replaces it with typed tokens (e.g. KAVARA-EMAIL-1) before the text ever leaves your device. The AI still reasons over the prompt and returns a useful answer; your real values are rehydrated locally for you to read. Your raw data never leaves your machine and is never sent to Kavara's servers. Only anonymized metadata (which category was detected, which tool, counts) is recorded — so security teams get Shadow-AI visibility without ever seeing the underlying secrets.
