Generative Engine Optimization: AI/LLM Crawler-AI Visibility Brand Armor AI

Description

AI SEO and LLM visibility scanner for metadata, schema, robots.txt and crawler access, with ready fixes Brand Armor AI — Generative Engine Optimization Analyzer | Answer Engine Optimization Analyzer Make your site understandable to AI. This extension audits any page you’re viewing and produces copy-ready fixes that improve how modern LLM/data crawlers and traditional search bots can fetch, render, and interpret your content. You’ll get a practical score, prioritized opportunities, and one-click snippets (meta description, canonical URL, JSON-LD, robots.txt policies) you can paste into your site. We focus on what AI models like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok and more and search engines actually use: clean canonicals, unblocked render assets, unambiguous entities, valid structured data, sane robots.txt, and signals of freshness and authority—so your content is more likely to surface in answers and summaries. Why this is different LLM-first, not just SEO-classic Beyond titles and keywords, we analyze crawl permissions, renderability, schema quality, entity clarity, and canonical hygiene—the inputs that help AI systems map your page to user intents. Actionable, not theoretical Every finding includes a clear explanation plus copy-ready code: a meta description draft, a sanitized canonical link, an Organization/Product JSON-LD template, or a robots.txt policy block. Realistic checks across ecosystems We verify posture for both search crawlers and a small set of representative LLM/data crawlers (for example, it can tell you if public pages or critical assets would be blocked for systems behind assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). Mentions are for interoperability context only and do not imply endorsement. Fast local analysis Audits run in your browser. No sign-up, no API key, and no outbound transfer of page content unless you choose to export a report. What you get (at a glance) AI Visibility Score™ — a simple headline number with category breakdowns. Top Opportunities — prioritized fixes with effort/impact estimates. Copy-Ready Snippets — pasteable code for meta description, canonical URL, JSON-LD (Organization/Product/FAQPage), and robots.txt policy blocks. Confidence Indicators — framework detection, rendering analysis, schema detection, entity extraction, and rendering/access hints. Business Impact Projection — an indicative “what improves if you ship this” narrative. Exports — PDF or JSON for sharing, ticketing, or historical comparison. What it checks (highlights) 1) Meta & canonical hygiene Title/Description presence and length heuristics; social fallback (Open Graph/Twitter) if description is missing. Canonical URL detection; auto-suggests a clean, absolute canonical with tracking parameters removed. Detects multiple or conflicting canonicals, missing canonicals on indexable pages, and patterns that confuse bots. 2) robots.txt posture (LLM + search) Fetches and parses /robots.txt; warns on block-all, missing Sitemap lines, over-broad disallows, crawl-delay, or asset blocking (/*.js, /*.css, /static/, images). Generates safe defaults and optional LLM/data crawler policy blocks with toggles, so you can clearly allow public pages while protecting /private/ or legal areas. Checks HTTP status, content-type, and file size. 3) Render & asset access Detects JavaScript framework patterns (SSR hints, root container “empty div” issues). Flags rules that might block render-critical assets (JS/CSS/images), which causes empty or degraded views in headless fetchers. Basic timing hints (where available) to nudge Largest Contentful Paint / layout stability improvements. 4) Structured data (JSON-LD emphasis) Extracts JSON-LD from the page (including @graph) and validates required & recommended fields for common types: Organization, Product, Article, FAQPage, WebSite. Points out semantic gaps and offers fill-in templates keyed to the page. 5) Entity clarity Light-weight entity extraction to check whether organizations, products, locations, and technologies are explicit, consistent, and machine-readable. 6) Freshness & temporal signals Looks for <time> elements, article published/modified meta, and JSON-LD dates; reminds you to surface dateModified and related signals where appropriate. 7) Sitemaps & i18n hints Detects missing Sitemap lines in robots.txt and suggests per-locale sitemaps when multiple languages are present. How it helps teams Growth/SEO — identify the structural issues that keep pages from appearing in AI answers and search; ship fixes quickly. Founders/PMs — get a non-technical summary and copy-ready code you can hand to dev/design. Content/Docs — ensure articles and help pages include the right schema and dates to be picked up accurately. Agencies — use exports for onboarding audits and before/after reporting. What the score means (and what it doesn’t) Your AI Visibility Score™ is a directional measure of crawlability, renderability, schema clarity, and canonical hygiene. It is not a ranking guarantee. Big, sophisticated sites sometimes score lower because of intentional constraints (e.g., CDN rules, anti-scraping, legacy templates, or product pages that rely on JS but block assets to non-browsers). We highlight the deltas you can actually fix. Tip: For the fairest evaluation, run the analyzer on representative landing pages or evergreen articles, not transient dashboards or login-gated views. One-click workflow Open a page on your site. Click Brand Armor AI → the audit runs locally. Review Top Opportunities (each includes a why + a pasteable fix). Click Re-Analyze this tab after you ship changes to validate immediately. Export PDF/JSON to share with teammates or attach to tickets. Example copy-ready outputs Meta Description Concise, page-specific drafts (≈150–160 chars). If missing, we adapt from social tags and visible headings; you can then refine the voice. Canonical URL Absolute, parameter-cleaned <link rel="canonical" href="…"> suggestions. If we detect a canonical already, we flag conflicts instead of overwriting. Structured Data Fill-in snippets for Organization (homepage), Product (price/reviews optional), Article (dates, wordCount), FAQPage (question/answer pairs). robots.txt policy blocks Safe defaults to allow public content and disallow private paths, with optional LLM/data crawler sections that mirror your public posture. (Mentions of third-party crawlers are informational and do not imply endorsement.) Privacy & security Local-first: page analysis happens in the extension. No content exfiltration: nothing leaves your device unless you choose to export a report. Minimal permissions: only what’s required to read the current tab, generate exports, and present UI. No tracking pixels: we don’t inject or beacon. Accessibility & performance UI supports keyboard navigation and high-contrast themes. We snapshot the DOM once per run to avoid redundant queries and reduce overhead. Heavy computations are chunked to keep the UI responsive. Frequently asked questions Does this guarantee higher rankings in AI answers? No. It helps you solve known blockers (canonical confusion, blocked assets, missing schema, restrictive robots.txt) that commonly prevent pages from being interpreted or attributed correctly. Do you endorse or integrate with any specific AI provider? No. We test for a subset of known crawler behaviors to help you reason about public posture. Mentions (e.g., GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended/GoogleOther) are informational only. Can I export to tickets? Yes. Use the JSON export to copy into your issue tracker. Many teams paste the “fix” blocks directly into tickets. Why do some very large websites score lower? They often have deliberate constraints (anti-abuse, regional routing, or performance trade-offs). We surface the specific levers you control in your own stack. What page should I analyze? Start with a marketing landing page or a canonical product/article page—not admin panels, ephemeral query pages, or login-only routes. What’s new in this release Improved canonical detector with parameter cleanup and conflict checks. Smarter robots.txt auditing with size/status/type validation and “block-all” alerts. Expanded JSON-LD parsing (@graph support) and field recommendations. Better framework detection (SSR hints, root container checks). PDF/JSON exports with confidence levels and effort/impact guidance. “Re-Analyze this tab” and context actions for faster iteration. Permissions requested ActiveTab — read current page DOM to analyze tags and markup. Storage — save lightweight settings and export preferences. Downloads (optional) — when you export a PDF/JSON report. We do not request broad host permissions or background network access for crawling other sites. Responsible interoperability This tool helps site owners understand and express their public crawl posture. If you block a crawler in your robots.txt, your settings are respected. If you allow it, we encourage you to review private paths and legal pages and keep your Sitemap lines current. Disclaimer: Brand names and crawler identifiers (e.g., GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, GoogleOther) are used for descriptive purposes and do not suggest sponsorship, endorsement, or any partnership. Support Questions or feedback? Open the extension and use Export → Feedback (included in the JSON/PDF footer), or contact the developer via the listing. We welcome suggestions for additional schema types, language support, or report formats.
