Restores the Google Search button missing from the homepage: the submit button the AI layout drops, in Google's own styling. Search Button puts the Google Search submit button back on the Google homepage. 🔍 What it does Google is testing a version of the homepage where the Google Search button gives way to three AI shortcuts. Search itself keeps working, since pressing Enter in the box still runs an ordinary query. The button is what went missing, and this extension returns it to the place it used to occupy. On the classic homepage the extension adds a plain submit input to the row that Google already styles, so the appearance, including the way it responds to hover and focus, comes from Google's own stylesheet. A click submits the real search form in the way the original did. On the AI homepage that row is built from chips, so the extension copies one of Google's chips, gives it the search label and wires it to the hidden submit control that Google leaves on the page. Everything visible there is Google's own rendering. The row already holds four chips, so the "I'm feeling lucky" chip moves to a second line to make room. The copy takes focus in the tab order and responds to Enter and Space, in the way the submit button it stands in for always did. 🌍 The label comes from Google The button carries the string Google serves for the language of the page you are on, collected from 81 of its own localized homepages. A Russian page reads "Поиск в Google", and a German one reads "Google Suche". For some languages Google serves the English string, and the extension shows whatever Google shows. 🔒 What it does not do The manifest requests no permissions, and the code calls no browser extension API. There is nothing to configure, so the extension ships without a popup or an options page and keeps no settings of its own. It makes no network requests while it runs and loads no remote code. Nothing about your browsing is collected or stored. Outside the homepage nothing is touched, the results page and the AI shortcuts among them. When the button is already on the page, the extension leaves everything as it is.
