Description
Save it in one click. Read it later, as a summary. You save things to read later. You know how that ends. bite is the other half of that habit. Save a tab — one click, or ⇧⌘S without even opening the popup — and close it. A few minutes later the article, the video, the podcast episode comes back as a bite: written prose, the one idea first, two or three minutes to read. Not a highlight reel and not bullet points. A short, honest piece of writing about what the source actually said, with the timestamps if it was spoken. WHAT GOES IN • Articles — including long ones nobody finishes • YouTube, from a three-minute clip to a three-hour interview • Podcasts from Apple Podcasts and Spotify • PDFs up to 30 pages WHAT YOU GET BACK • The one idea first, so you can decide in a sentence whether to read on • Two or three minutes of prose, not a list of fragments • Jump marks into the original for anything spoken • The original, one tap away, always HOW IT FITS THE BROWSER • One click on the toolbar icon, or ⇧⌘S for the tab you're on • "Select tabs" saves a whole window at once — the Friday-afternoon button • Right-click any link to send it without leaving the page • Articles you subscribe to work, because bite reads the page as you see it • Nothing is uploaded until you press save You'll need the bite app to sign in — the extension shows a QR code and the iPhone app scans it, so no password ever goes into your browser. The app is in beta right now; ask for an invite at bite.fyi. Free while it's in beta. bite.fyi
