Share Beam turns any browser tab, window, or full screen into a live session anyone can join with a 6-digit code — no install on the viewer's end, just a link. Hosting and joining both require a one-time email verification; nothing further is needed on future shares from the same browser. A small signaling server only helps browsers find each other, and never sees your screen, chat, or files. Separately, we do keep a record of session/participant metadata (names, emails, IP-derived location, timestamps) for abuse prevention and basic usage monitoring — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what that includes. Permissions, plainly: Offscreen document — hosts the screen-capture and peer connections in a hidden page so sharing keeps running even if you close the popup. Storage — remembers your current session state and a local history of past sessions, on your device only. Downloads — saves recordings/screenshots you take to your Downloads folder. Tabs — opens one-time microphone- and location-permission tabs (Chrome only shows these prompts in a real tab, not a popup), and builds the "Copy Join Link" URL.
