Persistent rules and settings are stored using Chrome’s built-in Sync storage, which may sync them between Chrome browsers signed in to your Google account. Depending on the rule you create, this can include your custom title, original page title, exact URL, domain, or Chrome tab identifier. The developer cannot access your synced extension data. If you enable Tab ReTitle+ in Incognito, persistent rules created there use the same Chrome Sync storage as normal windows and may remain after the Incognito window closes. Use One-time mode when you don’t want a title saved. Open source Tab ReTitle+ is open source, so you can inspect exactly how it works and verify its privacy behavior yourself.
