Download Audio from Instagram — save any Reels sound or DM audio message, and download it straight from Instagram. Download Audio from Instagram is a lightweight browser extension that saves every voice message and Reels audio the moment you hear it — straight to your computer in one click. No screen recorders, no extra apps, no copy-pasting links, and no second account to remember. The extension lives quietly in your side panel, recognizes each clip as it plays in an Instagram DM chat or on a Reels page, and turns it into a clean, properly named file you can keep forever. Whether you are archiving an interview, preserving a heartfelt note from a friend, or collecting sounds for your own edits, everything stays in original quality and works without ever leaving the page you are on. 🎯 Features 1. One-click capture in Instagram DMs — a small download button appears on every voice bubble, so you can save the clip the second it finishes playing. 2. Reels audio support — open a Reels audio page and the panel picks up whatever track is playing, so the sounds and music you discover are just as easy to keep as a private voice note. 3. A unified side-panel inbox — every clip you have listened to in the current chat shows up in a tidy list with inline playback, duration, and a Download All button that clears a long backlog in seconds. 4. Original quality, always — each file is saved exactly as the platform delivered it, with smart filenames built from the clip's timestamp so your library stays organized without any renaming chores. 5. A capture master switch — pause and resume recording on demand from the panel header, which is handy on a shared computer or whenever you would rather not record anything new. 6. Ten built-in languages — the panel auto-localizes into English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. 🛠 Usage 1. Install the extension and click the toolbar icon — the side panel opens next to whatever page you are already on. 2. Use the Message button in the panel to jump straight into your Instagram inbox, or the Reels button to browse for sounds. 3. Open a conversation and simply listen — every voice message appears in the panel within a second or two, ready to play back or save. 4. Tap the save icon on any row to grab that single clip, or hit Download All to sweep every captured file into one batch. 5. Prefer working on the page itself? Right-click any voice bubble for a contextual Download Voice Message entry that works even when the panel is closed. 💰 Pricing The free tier gives you 5 audio downloads per day — no account, no sign-up, install and go. The counter resets at midnight UTC, and a small progress bar in the panel always shows how many you have left. The daily counter only covers successful saves: if a grab fails midway because a clip expired, the slot is refunded automatically, so a technical hiccup never costs you quota. Upgrade to Pro at any time from the Upgrade button inside the panel and the daily cap disappears for as long as your subscription stays active. Pro includes unlimited voice message downloads, every file saved in its original quality, and priority support with early access to future updates. Both tiers deliver identical audio — Pro removes the limit, and nothing else is gated behind it. Checkout runs through ExtensionPay, the same trusted payment provider used by thousands of Chrome and Firefox extensions, so your card details never touch our servers. Cancellation is self-serve from your ExtensionPay account, with no hidden renewal fees. ❓ FAQ Does the extension work on both DMs and Reels? Yes. It captures voice messages inside Instagram DMs as well as the audio playing on Reels audio pages, and the panel keeps the two lists separate so nothing gets mixed up. Will the quality drop on the free tier? No. Free and Pro save the exact same original file the platform sent — the only difference between tiers is the daily download cap. What happens when I hit the daily limit? The panel shows your current usage next to an upgrade prompt. You can wait for the UTC reset or upgrade to Pro in one click and keep going immediately. Does it work on phone browsers? No. This extension is built for desktop Chrome and Firefox only, because mobile browsers do not support side panels or the extension APIs it relies on. Can I pause capturing without uninstalling? Yes. The master switch in the panel header toggles capture on and off, and the setting survives a browser restart, so nothing new is recorded until you flip it back. Do I need a separate account? No. There is no trial, no sign-up form, and no second login to manage. Free users start immediately; Pro upgrades happen inline through the ExtensionPay checkout page. Where are my files saved? Wherever your browser normally puts them — typically the default save folder. The files behave like any others: move them, rename them, back them up, or sync them to cloud storage. Can the tool access private accounts or chats I cannot open? No. It only sees the conversations and pages your own logged-in session can already open. There is no bypass, no scraping of locked profiles, and nothing runs outside your browser. Why did the list suddenly clear? The inbox tracks the conversation you have open. When you switch to a different chat, the panel clears and follows the new one, so nothing from an older conversation lingers where you do not expect it. Can I use it on multiple computers? Yes. Install it on any desktop browser you use — your Pro status is tied to your ExtensionPay account, so it follows you wherever you sign in. What happens to my files if I uninstall? Nothing is uploaded anywhere, so uninstalling only removes the local panel inbox. Every clip you already saved stays on your computer exactly where the browser put it. 🛡 Disclaimer This extension is an independent productivity tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta or Instagram. All trademarks and brand names mentioned are the property of their respective owners. The extension only processes the clips you already have permission to hear in your own browser session, and it never collects, stores, transmits, or sells your personal data or message contents. Please use it responsibly and respect the privacy of the people you chat with on Instagram: saving a voice message for yourself is fine, but republishing someone else's words without their consent is not. If a platform update temporarily breaks detection, the extension will catch up in its next release, and Pro users can always reach the team through the priority support channel for a faster resolution.
