Shelf Scout checks real Amazon books for you: see demand and competition for any book search and test your Shelf Starter ideas. Shelf Scout is the free Chrome add-on for Shelf Starter (shelfstarter.app), the step-by-step helper for people publishing their first books on Amazon KDP. Before you spend weeks on a book, Shelf Scout checks real Amazon books for you and tells you in plain words whether your idea has room to sell. WHAT IT DOES • Checks your book ideas: press "Check on Amazon" on Shelf Starter and Shelf Scout reads the top books for that search, then gives your idea a green, yellow or red light based on how well those books sell and how crowded the search is. • Analyzes any Amazon book search: on an Amazon book search page, click the green Shelf Scout button for a plain-English read of demand and competition, with keyword ideas. • Works with your Shelf Starter plan: your checks connect to your book plans, covers and interiors on shelfstarter.app. HOW TO USE IT 1. Add Shelf Scout to Chrome. 2. Sign in at shelfstarter.app (a free trial is available). 3. Press "Check on Amazon" on any idea, or search Amazon and click the green Shelf Scout button. GOOD TO KNOW • Shelf Scout needs a Shelf Starter account with a free trial or a plan. • It works in Google Chrome on a computer. It only runs on Amazon.com and Shelf Starter pages. • It reads public Amazon pages in your own browser, the same pages you could open yourself. It never sees your Amazon account, orders or passwords. • Shelf Starter is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. Questions?
