Live OmniScript data, structure and remote action log, in a DevTools panel. 🔍 See what your OmniScript is really doing Inspect the live data, structure and remote action calls of any Salesforce OmniStudio or Vlocity OmniScript, straight from Chrome DevTools. OmniScript Data Inspector adds a DevTools tab that shows the data an OmniScript is holding right now — parsed, formatted, and updating while you click through the script. Instead of typing querySelector into the console after every step, you keep the panel open and watch the JSON change. An independent, unofficial developer tool. LIVE DATA 🌳 A collapsible JSON tree that keeps your expanded nodes open across updates, so you never lose your place. ✨ Highlights what changed — watch a field update the moment it happens, and see a dot on collapsed branches hiding a change. 🔎 Finds the OmniScript automatically, scanning every element on the page including those inside open shadow roots. 🧰 Filter by key or value, switch between tree and raw JSON, copy the payload or save it to a file. 📍 Jump to the source — reveal the element in the Elements tab and use it in the console. ⏱️ Control the refresh rate — poll from 250 ms to 2 seconds, or switch to manual and read on demand. 🎯 Reads any property you name — jsonDataStr is the default, but point the Property field at a definition, a state object, or anything else the component exposes. SCRIPT STRUCTURE A second tab lists every element the OmniScript is built from, read straight from its definition. 🧱 Steps and their elements as an indented tree, with each element's name, type and label. 🔢 The current value of every element beside it, updating as the script is filled in. 🚩 Markers for required fields, elements with show/hide conditions, and elements that call a Data Mapper or Integration Procedure. 🔌 Filter to actions only, to see the script's whole integration surface at once. 📄 Select an element for its definition and its live value side by side. REMOTE ACTION LOG A third tab records the Apex remote actions the page makes while you work. 🏷️ Names Data Mappers and Integration Procedures by their bundle or key, instead of the integration class they all share. Works with standard OmniStudio and the Vlocity managed packages. 📦 Input, output, options and raw payloads for every call, in the same collapsible tree. 🧩 Splits batched calls, so each action gets its own row rather than hiding inside a shared request. ❗ Flags failures — including errors returned inside a successful HTTP response, which the Network tab shows as a plain 200. 🔁 Decodes the Aura, Lightning Web Runtime and Visualforce remoting transports. 💾 Optionally preserves the log across page reloads, and exports the session to JSON. HOW TO USE IT 1. Open the page containing the OmniScript. 2. Open DevTools and select the OmniScript tab. 3. Interact with the script — the tree updates as the data changes. If the OmniScript renders inside an iframe, pick that frame in the DevTools context selector first. Closed shadow roots and cross-origin frames cannot be read; that is a browser restriction rather than a limit of the tool. PRIVACY 🔒 No permissions requested. The extension reads the page you are already inspecting, only while DevTools is open, and only through the standard DevTools API. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is stored, and there is no analytics of any kind. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY Data you retrieve from your org is your responsibility. This is a viewer for data your Salesforce user can already see, and that data can include personal information, customer records and session tokens. Anything you save or export is an ordinary file on your machine, and where it goes next is your decision. Prefer a sandbox or scratch org when exploring or taking screenshots, and follow your organisation's policies and any applicable data protection law.
