Capture the readable content of the current page and save it to Rediscover. Save the good reads you find in Chrome, and return to them in Rediscover. Save to Rediscover is the companion Chrome extension for the Rediscover app. Click its toolbar icon on a web page to extract readable article text and send it to Rediscover—without copying and pasting. WHAT IT DOES • Saves readable page content together with its title and source URL. • Shows the article title, source, estimated reading time, and save status in a compact popup. • Updates an existing article when you save it again. • Can queue a capture while Rediscover is closed; the app imports it the next time it opens. • Adapts to light and dark appearance. GET STARTED 1. Install Rediscover on your Mac and open it once to register the Chrome helper. 2. Install this extension and restart Chrome. 3. Open a regular web page and click Save to Rediscover in the toolbar. 4. Open Rediscover to read your saved content. REQUIREMENTS Requires macOS 14 or later, Google Chrome, and the Rediscover Mac app installed separately. This is a companion extension, not a standalone reading app. The native connection is not available on Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS. PAGE ACCESS AND LIMITATIONS The extension requests access to the active page when you invoke it, runs its content-extraction script there, and sends the captured content to the local Rediscover helper through Chrome Native Messaging. It does not request access to your full browsing history or blanket access to all websites. Readable content varies by website. Browser settings pages and other restricted pages cannot be captured. This extension does not bypass paywalls or website access restrictions.
