Description
Organize tabs into spaces, auto-save sessions, and restore everything after a crash. Free plan, sign in only for sync and Pro. KeepIt is a tab manager and session saver for Chrome. Give every project its own workspace (we call them spaces), switch between them in one click, save and restore tab sessions, and put idle tabs to sleep so Chrome stays fast. Free to start. No account needed. 🎁 LAUNCH OFFER: THE FIRST 100 USERS GET KEEPIT PRO FREE FOR 30 DAYS. No credit card. Nothing to cancel. First come, first served. To claim: install KeepIt, sign in with Google, tap Upgrade, then tap "Claim my free month". When the 30 days end you go back to the Free plan and nothing you saved is deleted. Chrome gives you tab groups, but not separate workspaces you can switch between. KeepIt adds them, plus session saving, crash recovery and a memory saver, in a single extension. ★ SPACES: A TAB WORKSPACE FOR EVERY PROJECT - Create a space for each project, client, class or topic, with its own name, icon and color - Switch spaces in one click from the popup, with a keyboard shortcut, or by typing "kt" in the address bar - Your tabs, pinned tabs and Chrome tab groups come back exactly as you left them - Tabs you leave are moved, not closed. They wait in one minimized "Hidden Tabs" window, so coming back is instant - A space opens on the tab you were last using. The rest open asleep and load only when you look at them - Go back to the space you just left with one command - Right-click any page → KeepIt → Move to space to send a tab to another space ★ SESSION MANAGER: SAVE AND RESTORE TABS - Save every open tab in your window as a session in one click, or tick only the tabs you want - Restore a session later with its Chrome tab group names, colors and collapsed state - Organize sessions into folders with drag and drop - Search saved sessions and spaces by name, tab title, URL or note - Save locally on your device or sync to your KeepIt cloud account ★ AUTO-SAVE AND CRASH RECOVERY - KeepIt snapshots your window in the background every 3 minutes (every 1 minute on Pro) - After a crash, a restart or an accidentally closed window, restore your tabs from the recovery snapshot - Earlier versions of your spaces and sessions are kept for 30 days (90 on Pro) - Deleted items stay in Trash for 30 days - Export a backup as JSON or HTML whenever you like ★ MEMORY SAVER: SLEEPING TABS - Idle background tabs are put to sleep to free up RAM without closing them - Choose the idle time: 5, 15, 30 minutes or 1 hour - Active tabs, pinned tabs, tabs playing audio and tabs marked "Keep awake" are never put to sleep - Add sites that should never sleep, subdomains included - Sleeping tabs keep their place and wake when you click them ★ QUICK SWITCHER AND KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS - Alt+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on Mac): type part of a space name and press Enter - Alt+Shift+S: instantly save your current window as a session - Alt+Shift+. and Alt+Shift+,: go to the next or previous space - Alt+1 to 9 in the switcher: jump to a space by number - Search every space, even ones that are not open, and jump straight to a tab All shortcuts can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. ★ NOTES ON TABS, SPACES AND SESSIONS - Add a note to any tab, space or session so you remember why you kept it - Optionally show your note on the page itself in a small card. This is off by default, asks Chrome for permission when you turn it on, and never reads the page ★ SHARE TABS WITH LIVE LINKS - Share a list of tabs as a link anyone can open in a browser, no account needed - The link updates when you press Update, so classmates and teammates always see your latest list - You choose which tabs to include. Mail, bank and login sites, localhost addresses and URLs containing tokens or passwords start unticked, and sensitive parameters are removed - Send a session straight to another KeepIt user by @username (Pro) ★ CLEAN UP AND IMPORT - Find and close duplicate tabs - Merge two sessions into one - Import your list from OneTab - Recover a recently closed window ★ PRIVATE BY DESIGN - KeepIt uses only the title, address and icon of each tab to save and reopen it - It never reads page contents, what you type or your passwords - No ads and no trackers - Spaces, sessions, folders, notes, auto-save and sleeping tabs all work on your device without an account - You sign in with Google only for cloud sync, sharing or Pro Chrome shows "read your browsing history" for every extension that can see your open tabs. KeepIt needs this only to save and restore them. No. When a space opens, only the tab you were last using loads. The others open asleep and load when you look at them. What happens to tabs when I switch spaces? They are moved, not closed, into one minimized "Hidden Tabs" window and return with their pinned state and tab groups. What if I uninstall KeepIt?
