Requstrix — Capture · Mock · Test · Fill · Format

Description

DevTools API toolkit: capture, mock, replay, load test, assertions, suites, security, data fill, log formatter. 🚀 Requstrix – Complete API Testing & QA Toolkit for Chrome DevTools Transform Chrome DevTools into a powerful all-in-one API testing workspace. Whether you're debugging APIs, writing automated tests, performing security audits, generating realistic test data, or analyzing performance, Requstrix brings everything together in one seamless DevTools experience. ✨ Powerful Features 🌐 Live API Capture – Record XHR & Fetch requests in real time. Auto-scrolling list with configurable slow-threshold detection (2s–30s). Duplicate API detector marks redundant calls. Filter by keyword, status, slow-only, PII-only, or duplicates-only. 🔍 Advanced Request Inspector – Inspect headers, payloads, query parameters, cookies, and beautifully formatted JSON responses. Resizable split pane — drag the divider to adjust request list vs. detail panel. URL highlighted for visibility. One-click Copy cURL. Search and highlight keys/values inside request payload and response bodies. 🎭 Mock API Responses – Intercept requests with custom status codes, delays, headers, and body (JSON/HTML/XML/text). Real network interception via Chrome's debugger protocol — backend never gets called. Wildcard URL matching. CORS-friendly mocked responses. Unsaved-changes banner and draft editing without losing your place in the editor. 🔁 Replay & Edit Requests – Replay captured requests with original headers and cookies. Edit & Replay: modify URL, method, headers, body, delay, and repeat count. Scheduled replay fires every X seconds. Right-click context menu for quick access. ⚡ Load Testing – Stress-test APIs with configurable concurrency (1–100), total requests (1–1000), ramp-up, delay, and timeout. Live progress bar. Results: total, success, failed, avg/median/min/max time, requests/sec, error rate. Export detailed CSV. Runs from page context so auth works naturally. ✅ QA Automation – Create assertions (12 types: status, time, JSON path, body, headers, regex, custom JS), build test suites, chain requests with variable extraction, validate JSON schemas, compare responses, manage Dev/QA/UAT/Prod environments with {{variables}}, import Postman collections, and export HTML reports. ⚖️ Request Compare – Dedicated Compare tab: pick any two captured requests (context menu: Set as Compare A / B). Diff response, request payload, request headers, or response headers. Unified or side-by-side GitHub-style view with change stats. 🛡️ Security Analyzer – Detect missing security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options), CORS misconfigurations, JWT exposure in URLs, sensitive data in GET params, insecure cookies (HttpOnly/Secure/SameSite), mixed content, and information disclosure. Severity ranked: Critical, High, Medium, Low. 🔑 JWT Inspector – Automatically decode JWT tokens from headers, cookies, and response bodies. Shows header, payload, algorithm, issued-at, expiry (with expired warning), and signature. 🎲 Fillstrix — Test Data Generator – Generate realistic Indian test data: names (first, last, father, mother, spouse, nominee), email, phone, PAN, Aadhaar (test values), GST, matching bank name + branch + IFSC, account number, income, PIN/state/city, address, DOB, UUID, JWT, and more. Auto-fill modes: • ✨ Auto Fill By Requstrix — fills matching text inputs, native selects, Material UI dropdowns (sequential), radio buttons, and button groups • Empty fields only by default — optional Overwrite existing toggle to replace values already on the page • Manual pick mode — click a data card, then click any field on the page • My Data profiles — save reusable field sets and auto-fill from saved profiles 📊 Performance Analytics – Analyze response times: Average, Min, Max, Median, P95, P99. Status distribution (2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx). Slow request count. Excel-ready CSV export. 🐞 Bug Report Generator – File bugs with or without attached API requests. API Bug or General Bug modes. Title, severity, priority, steps, expected/actual (auto-fill from response). Export Markdown (Jira-ready), HTML, JSON, or full report with cURL. 🍪 Cookie & Storage Manager – View, edit, delete, filter, and export cookies. Manage localStorage and sessionStorage. Inline editing. Auto-refresh on navigation. 📝 Logstrix – Convert messy Kibana/OpenSearch logs into clean, readable, syntax-highlighted JSON. Auto-detect request/response blocks. Capture text selection from page. Export formatted JSON. 🎨 Design Mode – Toggle document.designMode to edit page content. Enables disabled and readonly fields for UI testing. Restores original state on toggle off. 🖊️ HTML Live Editor (Separate Panel) – Select any element; edit outerHTML, innerHTML, textContent, attributes, and styles with live preview. Apply, reset, or download full HTML. 🤖 Optional AI Analysis – Analyze captured traffic using your own OpenAI or Google Gemini API key. Sensitive information is automatically redacted before sending. 📦 Export Everything – One ZIP with Postman collection (v2.1), environment file, individual .curl files, performance CSV, PII report, AI analysis, secrets.json, and import guide. Duplicate requests get a separate folder when duplicate detection is ON. 🔄 Duplicate API Detector – Toggle to mark redundant calls (same method + URL + body). Duplicate-only filter and stats card. 🎯 PII Audit (Opt-In) – Scan for email, phone, name, SSN, PAN, Aadhaar, credit card, address, DOB patterns. Customize PII keywords in Settings. Reports use masked values only. 🎨 Theme Marketplace – Dark (default), Light, Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night, Catppuccin Mocha, GitHub Dark. Persists across sessions. 🖥️ Adaptive UI – Resizable split pane, collapsible stats dashboard, zoom 60%–150%, undock into separate window, conditional stats cards, consolidated filters popup, active button glow indicators. 🆕 What's New in Requstrix v3.1.2 ✨ New Features & Improvements ⚖️ Request Compare tab — Compare any two captured requests with unified or side-by-side diff for response, payload, and headers. Requstrix does not send captured traffic to any Requstrix server. AI analysis is completely optional and uses your own API key. 🔧 Permissions (Plain Language) • Storage — Saves settings, mocks, suites, environments, themes, workspaces, and optional AI keys only on your device. • Debugger — Required for mock API interception (Chrome debugger protocol). • Host permissions — Allow the extension to work while you debug sites. Nothing is sent to a Requstrix backend. AI requests go directly to OpenAI or Google only when you explicitly run analysis. 🌍 Learn More 🌐 Website: https://requstrix.com/ ☕ Support the Project: https://requstrix.com/donate If Requstrix saves you time, helps you find bugs faster, or improves your testing workflow, consider supporting its development.
