Salesforce TabMaster v1.4 — Release Notes Bug Fixes • Fixed a visual glitch where restored tab groups appeared blank or unnamed on browser startup until a tab was clicked. The extension now actively adopts and styles native Chrome restored groups. • Resolved an intermittent conflict that could cause bidirectional group renaming to revert if Chrome updated the tab group too quickly. • Fixed an installation issue where the extension defaulted to "disabled" for new users. Improvements • Console Cleanup: Removed unnecessary developer console logs for a cleaner browsing experience. • Cleaner Disable State: Deactivating the extension now instantly removes all custom favicons and restores the original Salesforce cloud icon perfectly. Salesforce TabMaster v1.3 — Release Notes Bug Fixes • Fixed an issue where the extension worked only after a disable/enable cycle; it now works immediately upon install or restart. • Fixed potential race conditions where the extension would sometimes revert manual changes due to slow storage sync. Improvements • Bidirectional Renaming: Renaming a tab group in Chrome now automatically saves that name as the Org alias. • Performance: Implemented intelligent caching to significantly reduce storage API calls. • Robustness: Settings changes in the popup (like colors) now sync immediately across all tabs without delay. Salesforce TabMaster v1.2 — Release Notes Bug Fixes • Fixed incorrect detection of Full Copy and Partial Copy sandboxes (now checks for partial, full, and uat in URLs). • Ensures correct color-coding and grouping for all sandbox types. • Fixed an issue where the native color picker did not update the favicon preview. Improvements • Added visual color swatches—9 Chrome tab group colors shown as circles in one row. • Selected color now shows a clean ring indicator and hover shows the color name. • Removed unsupported custom color picker. • Favicon and tab group now always use the same Chrome palette color. • Restored PNG-based favicon tinting for a more accurate Salesforce cloud look. • Favicons now match the selected tab group color exactly. Salesforce TabMaster - Version 1.1 Release Notes New Features 1. Tutorial & User Guide Welcome Page: A comprehensive tutorial page now opens automatically upon installation. Visual Guide: Includes screenshots of Settings, Aliases, Actions, and History tabs to help you get started quickly. 2. Smarter Installation Logic Preserve Existing Groups: The extension now detects if you have already grouped your Salesforce tabs. Instead of renaming them, it automatically creates an Alias for that domain, keeping your custom group names intact. Disabled by Default: To prevent unexpected changes, the extension is now Disabled immediately after installation. You can enable it from the popup menu when you are ready. 3. Dynamic UI Clearer Toggle: The enable/disable toggle now has a dynamic label ("Enable" / "Disable") to clearly indicate the action. Bug Fixes 1. Alias Case Sensitivity: Fixed an issue where custom aliases (e.g., "PROD") were being forced to lowercase. Your capitalization is now respected. 2. Salesforce Inspector Support: Fixed an issue where tabs opened by the Salesforce Inspector extension (e.g., Data Export) were not being grouped correctly. They now join their parent Salesforce instance group. 3. No Cross-Window Grouping: The extension now strictly checks the window ID. Tabs will never leave their current window to join a group in another window. 4. No Renaming: On installation, the extension scans your existing groups. If it finds a Salesforce group (e.g., "My Project"), it saves that name as an Alias. When you enable the extension, it uses that alias, so your group name stays exactly as it is.
