Helps OverShoulder AI understand your browser page to provide step-by-step guidance. OverShoulder Browser Reader connects the current webpage to the device-local OverShoulder desktop app so its AI can provide step-by-step guidance while you work. After first-run consent, and only while desktop screen sharing is active, you can grant access to a site. The extension then reads the active page URL, title, limited page text, UI structure such as buttons, links, and inputs, and visible input values not classified as sensitive. Browser-internal and other restricted pages cannot be read. Recognized sensitive patterns are redacted locally before transmission, but automated redaction cannot guarantee removal of every sensitive value. Relevant page context may be processed by the AI provider selected in the desktop app solely to provide the requested guidance. Turning screen sharing off stops new Browser Reader collection and clears the active in-memory page snapshot. Information already included in local conversation history or Memory Box follows the desktop app’s normal retention and deletion controls. We do not sell Browser Reader data. Requires the OverShoulder desktop app with screen sharing enabled.
