Scan any webpage for accessibility issues with axe-core. Detect WCAG violations and get instant audit reports. Web Dissect checks the page you're looking at for accessibility issues that can be caught automatically, so you can find and fix them while you build instead of after launch. Open any page, select Scan Page, and Web Dissect runs axe-core, the open-source accessibility engine, against the page as it's rendered in your tab. You get a clear summary of what failed, what passed, and what still needs a human eye. There's no setup, no account, and you never leave the browser. Why install it - Catch problems early. Axe-core flags common issues such as missing alt text, low color contrast, and unlabeled form fields while you're still working on the page. - See what matters first. Violations are grouped by impact (Critical, Serious, Moderate, Minor), with the rule name and the number of affected elements. - Know what needs a manual check. Incomplete checks are listed separately, so nothing gets quietly skipped. - Keep a record. Download the full scan as results.json to attach to a ticket, share with your team, or compare against later. - Work comfortably. Light and dark themes are included. - Stay private. The scan runs in your browser tab and the results stay in the extension. Nothing is sent to a Web Dissect server. How to use it 1. Open the page you want to check. 2. Open Web Dissect from the Chrome toolbar or Extensions menu. 3. Select Scan Page. 4. Review the results, then download results.json if you need a report. Good to know - Web Dissect scans the page open in your active tab. - Automated tools only catch part of the accessibility problems. A clean result doesn't mean a page meets WCAG or any other standard, so pair it with keyboard and screen reader testing. - Chrome's own pages, the Chrome Web Store, and PDFs can't be scanned. Built for developers, QA engineers, and anyone who cares about accessible web experiences.
