Hear Crunchyroll anime in English: Tentolu speaks the subtitles with voices that run on your Mac. Needs the free Tentolu Mac app. No dub yet? Hear the episode in English anyway. Tentolu reads the English subtitles of the Crunchyroll episode you're watching and speaks each line out loud in a natural English voice. It reads the subtitles ahead, so each English line starts when its subtitle appears. The original audio drops underneath while the English plays, and comes right back when you press Stop. What you need • A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 14 or newer • Google Chrome • The free Tentolu Mac app, which runs the voices. Get it at tentolu.com. The extension can't speak without it. Where it works Crunchyroll, in Chrome, with English subtitles turned on. How it works 1. Open an episode on Crunchyroll and turn on English subtitles. 2. Click Tentolu in Chrome's toolbar and press Start. The first start takes about 40 seconds while the voices wake up. 3. Listen. Pick one voice for everything, or let Tentolu give each character a voice from the subtitles' speaker names. Private by design Nothing is uploaded. The voices are generated on your own Mac. The subtitles, the sound and your character picks stay on your machine. No account needed. Tentolu is an independent tool. It isn't made by, or affiliated with, Crunchyroll.
