Live Google-translated subtitles for Alison.com lessons + saved bilingual transcripts for later study. The short version Alison Translator collects no personal information. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The extension has no server of its own — nothing is ever sent to its author. What moves, and what doesn't Leaves your device Caption text To translate a lesson, its caption text is sent to a translation service along with the target language. Nothing accompanies it — no identifier, no account, no page address, no browsing history. Stays on your device Settings and transcripts Settings — language, voice speed, volume levels, which features are on. Transcripts — for each lesson you open, the original caption lines, their translations, and their timestamps. Translation cache — lines already translated, so the same line is never translated twice. All of it lives in your browser's local extension storage.
