Machine translation gets things wrong, and plenty of people here are learning the language, so hiding the original would be taking something away. Your typing is yours. Earshot reads the conversation and never touches your message box or your slash commands. That complaint appears in every competitor's reviews and it will never appear in mine. Code stays code. Code blocks, inline code, links, mentions, custom emoji and slash commands are left completely alone. Half of Discord is dev servers and a translated code block is worse than no translation at all. Nothing leaves your computer. Translation is entirely on device, on both tiers. The only network request Earshot ever makes is a single licence check, once, if you buy Pro. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ON A MAC The reply shortcut is Alt on Windows and Linux, and the Option key on a Mac. The popup shows whichever applies to you rather than telling you to press a key that is not on your keyboard. If the combo clashes with something you use, pick a different one. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT YOU NEED, HONESTLY Chrome 138 or newer, on desktop. These browser APIs do not exist on phones or tablets yet. Roughly 22GB free disk space, which is Chrome's requirement rather than mine. A one time language pack download the first time you meet a new language, then it works offline. Around 39 languages, which is Chrome's current list and grows over time.
