Rejects optional cookie choices automatically and lets users report cookie failures to a private IF Designs report inbox. Cookie banners are everywhere. Cookie Nope is designed to make dealing with them quicker, simpler and less intrusive. Cookie Nope automatically looks for recognised cookie-consent banners and attempts to reject optional cookies while leaving essential cookies available, helping you get to the website itself without repeatedly working through consent menus. The extension works directly in your browser and uses a combination of multilingual wording recognition, structural detection and reusable support for common consent-management platforms. Rather than relying on a brittle list of individual websites, Cookie Nope is designed to recognise common cookie-banner patterns across many different sites. Main features Automatic cookie rejection Cookie Nope automatically scans supported webpages for recognised cookie-consent controls and attempts to reject optional cookies. Essential cookies only Where possible, Cookie Nope keeps only the cookies required for the website to function while rejecting optional advertising, analytics, personalisation and similar categories. Works across different cookie-banner designs Cookie Nope can recognise a growing range of consent layouts, including simple Reject All buttons, preference panels, multi-stage consent dialogs and common consent-management platforms. Multilingual matching Cookie Nope includes support for cookie-consent wording in multiple languages and uses case-insensitive matching. Allowed websites Some websites may work better when their normal cookie controls are left alone. Add any website to the Allowed websites list and Cookie Nope will stop automatic rejection on that site. Manual decline option Use Decline cookies on this page whenever you want Cookie Nope to make another rejection attempt manually. Clear site status The popup shows when a website is allowed and provides a confirmation when Cookie Nope has successfully handled a cookie banner. Customisable settings Adjust rejection behaviour, Allowed websites and other extension preferences from the Settings page. Settings sync Cookie Nope uses Chrome extension storage so supported settings and Allowed websites can follow your Chrome profile where Chrome Sync is enabled. Import and export Settings can be exported for backup and imported again later. Optional cookie-failure reporting If Cookie Nope misses a banner, you can choose to submit a failure report to help improve future versions. Reports are only sent after you explicitly confirm them. Privacy-focused by design Cookie Nope is built to perform its main cookie-banner detection locally in the browser. It does not sell browsing data, inject advertising, rewrite affiliate links or use your browsing activity for marketing. To identify cookie-consent controls, Cookie Nope needs permission to inspect the webpages you visit. This access is used for the extension's single purpose: finding and operating cookie-consent interfaces. If you deliberately submit a cookie-failure report, the report can include the current page URL, Cookie Nope version, selected rejection method and timestamp. It does not include page HTML, cookie values, passwords, form contents or unrelated browsing history. A practical approach to cookie banners There are many different cookie-consent systems in use across the web, and websites regularly change their layouts. Cookie Nope is continually refined to recognise reusable consent patterns rather than being built around a fixed list of individual websites. That means some unusual or newly introduced cookie banners may occasionally require manual action, but coverage will continue to improve as new consent formats are identified.
